WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
Uterque is in the spotlight of our BRAND OVERVIEWS category today!
In this category I’m sharing with you brands that are worth checking out for their quality, style aesthetic or functionality of their clothes.
Uterque is one of the brands of Inditex group (same company that owns Massimo Dutti and Zara). You might not be familiar with it as the brand has no stores in Ireland and UK.Â
Having said that, it is the brand that I would highly recommend considering!
Why?
They blend the designer-like look with very good quality!
This season a lot of designs are heavily influenced by Chanel and Bottega Veneta so a lot of pieces have their vibe (like tweed jackets, capped shoes, mesh sandals, etc).
This is a brand where you won’t find fool-proof basics like in Massimo Dutti. 3/4 of their collection are unique, out-there pieces.Â
For anyone who loves something unusual, the brand is an absolute treasure cove!
If you don’t, you will still find easy wearable designs, but with an interesting twist.
Here are the categories of clothes that I would highly recommend checking out in Uterque:
- leather – they have one of the biggest selections of good quality leather pieces on high street with some really interesting designs (like a perforated shirt or a leather jumpsuit) as well as good reliable staples (like a leather pencil skirt or a biker jacket).
- accessories – their shoes, bags and jewellery are a must-see! Some pieces are quite out-there, but there is a great selection of bits that can still serve as super stylish staples. Their jewellery looks designer and if you want something that has that unique feel to it but without the designer price tag, this is the place to go. Shoes and bags are really good quality and offer the same quality vs price ratio as accessories that cost double and even 3 times more.
- unusual tops  – this season Uterque had a beautiful selection of silk and cotton blouses with stunning applique detail. It’s not a trend as such but these pieces will serve you for years to come.
I’ve done an edit of the pieces I’d recommend checking out so have a browse below. Some are very unique, while others are easy to wear and style.
Many styles sell out very quickly (especially shoes that often get an iconic status with streetstylers), but sign up for notifications as sizes often come back in stock.
PRICES & QUALITY
Uterque quality can be easily compared to brands like Maje, Sandro and Reiss, but comes at a much lower price point.Â
Their shoes are made out of very good quality leather but come at around the same price point as in brands like Kurt Geiger. But the quality simply can’t be compared!
Uterque use high quality leather even for lining of their shoes which makes them really comfortable if they suit your foot rise.Â
I have a number of Uterque pieces in my own wardrobe and bought loads of their clothes/accessories for clients. The quality is totally worth spending that little bit more than you would spend in Massimo Dutti as you’ll have these pieces for years to come.Â
Approximate price ranges:

Leather clothes – from €229 for skirts up to €500 for coats
