WHAT TO LOOK OUT FOR
Welcome to our new category: BRAND OVERVIEWS!

In this category I will be telling you about brands that are worth checking out for their quality, style aesthetic and functionality of their clothes.

And the first up for review is H&M! But not their main line – their premium quality segment.

Many women don’t even realize that H&M do 2 higher-end lines: Premium Quality and Studio Collection.

Today I’ll tell you about the Premium Quality Line as it is a solid go-to in my stylist’s book.

The line offers mostly staples – these are pieces that will serve as a blank canvas for your wardrobe.

There is also a number of seasonal pieces (like linen and straw pieces for summer) and they are executed with a lot more attention to detail than the main line.

These are the categories of clothes that I would recommend checking out in the Premium line:

  • biker jackets
  • down jackets
  • cashmere and wool – they often do a really good selection in V-necks in jumpers
  • silk blouses and shirts
  • t-shirts – these have a beautiful finish and wear really well, but sell out super quickly
  • leather footwear
  • jeans – their denim wears really well!
  • small accessories like belts, scarves and jewellery
PRICES & QUALITY
The line offers very good quality VS price ratio. Most pieces I’ve tried myself and bought for clients lasted for a few seasons with proper care giving a really good return on investment.

The Premium Line also wins price-wise over other high-street brands offering similar quality.

For example, Zara’s cashmere ranges between €120-200, while Premium Line offers 100% cashmere for less than €100.

Their leather footwear is priced very reasonably for the quality it offers. For example, their current stock suede ankle boots are retailing for €59.99 while Zara offer faux leather or fabric footwear at the same price point.

Their leather belts retail between €15 and €20 while Marks&Spencers or &OtherStories charge up to €40 for similar designs.

I’ve done a curated edit of pieces below that are worth checking out in the current collection. If needed, they can all be put into a capsule. So have a browse and if you have any staples missing, the Premium Line is a good place to stock up on them.
